Because the temperature is dropping here
In Arlington and we see lots of rain,
We thought a comforter might bring some cheer
To Dexter's dog house. He did not complain.
In fact he jumped for joy and happily
Lay down upon the blanket in his lair.
Our puppy was content and so were we,
But now we're more inclined to feel despair.
For when the sun came out our crazy pet
Pulled all the fluffy stuffing from the quilt.
Our yard is littered with small bits of wet
Debris -- and Dexter's proud of what he built.
